Teleportation
It came time for Tsukikage-nee-sama’s departure.
I saw the crew members who loaded the baggage onto the ship, and as expected, they were all women. Everybody, seems physically strong. If there were ‘female pirates’, I wonder if they’d be people who feel like this.
“Armeria. I will be counting Yuzuki on you”
“Eeh, Onee-sama. Have a safe trip. Please give my regards to Otou-sama and Okaa-sama”
“Got it”
“Tsukikage-nee-sama, take care. I will be going over as well in 2 years”
I took Tsukikage-nee-sama’s hands and looked up at her face.
“Onii-sama! It is a promise, alright! I will be looking forward to it! See you!”
She went to her knees and gently hugged me tightly. And when she stood up, she disappeared into the ship while waving with a smile.
When Tsukikage-nee-sama and others got onboard, the ship’s hatch closed and the propellors spun altogether. It seems the power of the propellers is electric motors. There isn’t any engine sound anywhere.
As the ship slowly moved away from the mansion, it turned to the northern direction, faced its back to the sun, sped up in one go, and took off. It’s quite slow compared to the jet airliner in my previous life, but it looks faster than a propeller plane.
Tsukikage-nee-sama departed with a smile. I’m relieved. But Yuzuki-nee-sama grabs my hand and doesn’t let go. She’s sticking to me closely.
“Yuzuki-nee-sama? What is the matter?”
“Ehehe. Onii-sama is mine with this!”
“Eh? Yuzuki-nee-sama?”
“Onii-sama! Please sleep together with me from tonight onwards!”
“Eeh! Yuzuki-nee-sama already turned 9 years old, right? You can sleep by yourself, can’t you?”
“I don’t wanna! I will sleep with Onii-sama!”
As we returned to the mansion while still holding hands with Yuzuki-nee-sama, Ojii-san appeared.
“Ooh. Tsukuyomi huh. You grew up huh”
“Yes. Ojii-sama, it has been a long time”
3 years have passed since the last time we met, but I pretty much can’t see any changes in Ojii-san’s appearance. I don’t know whether Yuzuki-nee-sama finds Ojii-san scary, or whether she’s just not used to him, but she ended up hiding behind me while still holding hands. She’s not hidden at all though.
“I’ve heard from Gento. It looks like there’s nothing for Gento to teach anymore. I shall teach you from today onwards”
“Yes. I will be in your care”
“Umu. Well then, let’s go right away, shall we”
“We are not going to train here huh”
“Umu, we’re gonna go to my mansion”
“Understood. Well then, Yuzuki-nee-sama, will you wait for me with Okaa-sama?”
“Onii-sama. Will you be returning today?”
“Onii-sama? Yuzuki is Tsukuyomi’s elder sister, right?”
“Ojii-sama, after talking about the story of my previous life, all of the Onee-samas, they decided to call me ‘Onii-sama‘, saying it is because I am older in terms of mental age”
“Aah, that’s what it is huh. Got it. Yuzuki, Tsukuyomi will come back after his training is over”
“Really?”
“Aah, really”
“Okay. Understood. Onii-sama. I will be waiting”
“Tsukuyomi sure is loved by everybody huh”
“Eeh, I am thankful for that”
“Now then, let’s go, shall we”
Going out into the yard from the mansion, the two of us started walking towards the direction with the mountain. Right when we left the garden, Ojii-san stopped moving.
“Tsukuyomi, we’ll use Teleportation from here all the way to the mansion”
“Eh? I am still unable to do it though……”
Ojii-san held me up, carrying me.
“If we do this, we can teleport together”
“Whoosh!”
In the next instant, feeling like there was suddenly a gust of wind, I closed my eyes unconsciously. But when I next opened my eyes, I was standing in front of a mansion I was seeing for the first time. This is Teleportation huh. There wasn’t any particular burden on the body.
“You do not feel anything in the body huh”
“Yeah, Tsukuyomi didn’t use any power after all”
“What kind of sensation is there when you teleport with your own power?”
“No, I think with how much power Tsukuyomi has, you’ll likely feel nothing”
“Eh? How do I teleport then?”
“Yeah, for a start, try teleporting to a spot you can see with your eyes. Once you’re capable of that, you can just gradually extend the distance. Finally, you’ll teleport by just bringing to mind the destination that you can’t see”
“It is somehow being worded very easily huh”
“Well, it’s easy once you become capable of it”
“I-, is that so. I guess I shall give it a shot then”
“Umu. Well then, first, a large tree is standing by the foot of the mountain over there, right. Try teleporting over there. First, act like you’re taking a step forward. And then imagine that one step lands at the bottom of that tree”
“Yes. Imagine the bottom of that tree while taking a step forward. Is it”
“Whoosh!”
, just when it made that sound, I had already moved to the bottom of the tree. Huh? It didn’t feel of anything! Immediately after, Ojii-san teleported over from behind.
“Whoosh!”
“How is it. You managed to do it. It was easy, right?”
“Yes, I am surprised by how much it did not feel of anything”
“Yeah. You’ll be able to do it even without thinking about it in particular, like with telepathic conversation, when you have the power”
“Yeah, I guess I can have telepathic conversations and read what people are thinking about naturally without thinking about it”
“Umu. Let’s teleport to Tsukuyomi’s mansion this time around. You can see the garden from here, right. Try teleporting all the way there”
“Yes. I will give it a shot”
I stared at a location where the garden’s flowers were slightly visible and teleported.
“Whoosh!”
“Kyaーa!”
As I thought, I landed in the garden in an instant. Since I suddenly appeared while Onee-samas were watering the garden’s flowers, everybody was shocked. There were even Onee-samas who ended up falling on their butt.
“Onii-sama! What is the matter?”
Immediately after, Ojii-san appeared.
“Whoosh!”
“Kyaーa!”
Everybody got surprised and screamed altogether.
“Ahー, my bad! Looks like I ended up surprising you”
“Currently, I am in the middle of Teleportation training”
“Onii-sama, you are amazing!”
“Awesome!”
“Well then, let’s return to the bottom of the tree just now again. This time around, imagine where you are moving to with just the memory just now without looking at the tree and teleport”
“Yes. I will give it a shot”
“Whoosh!”
I disappeared in an instant.
“Ahー, Onii-sama disappeared!”
“Amazing huh!”
And then I returned to the bottom of the tree again.
“Un. Teleportation is done with this huh”
“Have I already learned it with this?”
“Umu. All that’s left is for you to practise by yourself in order to be able to teleport far away”
“What is the furthest distance that I can teleport with this?”
“Yeah, if it’s Tsukuyomi, I think you can even teleport all the way to the other side of this star”
“Eh? Am I able to use Teleportation all the way to Nemophila Kingdom then?”
“Un, you’re able to. But you’ll have to go once by ship and memorise the location though”
“Could it be that, I can teleport even while carrying Okaa-sama?”
“Umu. If Tsukuyomi grows big enough that you can hold Armeria up”
“Aah! That’s right!”
I smiled awkwardly unconsciously. I sometimes forget that I’m still small.
“I wonder what’s left that you can’t do?”
“I suppose it would be see-through vision ability and clairvoyance. For see-through vision, it would be great if the interior of the body is visible for the sake of treatments”
“Aah, Tsukuyomi was a doctor in your previous life huh. You’ll use see-through vision in such a way huh. But I’ve never used see-through vision in such a way before. Tsukuyomi has opened and seen the interior of the human body before. Is that what it means?”
“Yes. I have”
Ojii-san’s complexion changed, and his face turned into one that looked like he had eaten something repulsive.
“I-, is that so. Tsukuyomi’s previous world sure is an amazing world huh. I’d reckon, there’s something after you go through the body’s skin, and on the other side of that is something. Is it not composed as such, I wonder?”
“Yes. The body’s structure has a sequence of layers starting from the skin”
“I think you might be able to see what’s inside if you proceed while imagining that entire structure inside your head then. Since I can’t imagine what the inside is like, when I try to see through, the person becomes transparent, and the other side is visible”
“Ahー, I see, you cannot see it if you cannot visualise what you want to see, is it?”
“Exactly. Tsukuyomi really is smart huh”
“May I try taking a look at the inside of Ojii-sama’s body as practice?”
“Aah, of course. Look as much as you like”
“Thank you. I would like to examine whether there is any sickness that occurs easily at Ojii-sama’s age then”
I decided to focus and try examining the lungs first.
The skin, hypodermis, muscle, and ribcages are indeed coming into sight in sequence. And then I arrived at the lungs. I try looking at the alveoli and such closely, but I don’t find any particular ailment. As expected of a world above the sky with clear air and no tobacco. His lungs are clean.
I examine the heart next. It’s beating strongly. Looks like there isn’t any irregularity in the heartbeat either. Un. Let’s go to the next one. Let’s try examining the stomach. I don’t find any polyps or ulcers either.
I wonder how the intestines are. I examined the duodenum, small intestine, large intestine, and rectum in sequence, and there wasn’t any problem in particular. I check the prostate gland for any cancer as a bonus, and the examination is over.
“Ojii-sama. I could see the inside of your body. They are truly clean organs. I did not find any illness anywhere”
“Ooh, is that so! That’s good to hear. Thanks. Aah, won’t you examine Dahlia and Carmia as well then”
“Eh? Obaa-samas1? Do women not dislike it?”
“I’ll talk to them about it, so it’ll be fine. I’ll convince them by saying that it’s for the sake of your training”
“Understood. But I think it is better not to force it”
I entered Ojii-san’s mansion. It’s a mansion the size of which I’ve seen before in Japan. I know Dahlia-obaa-san since she came when I was born, but it’s my first time meeting Carmia-obaa-san.
“Carmia-obaa-sama, nice to meet you. I am Tsukuyomi. Dahlia-obaa-sama, the last time was when I was born huh. It has been a long time”
“My! You remember that you met me on the day you were born huh!”
“Eeh, I remember everybody circling my bed and talking”
“My! What a smart child!”
“Really! He is still 3 years old, right?”
The two Obaa-sans are opening their eyes widely in surprise.
“Dahlia, Carmia. Before Tsukuyomi was born in this world, he was somebody who had lived in a different world. That’s why he’s this mature. Furthermore, it looks like he had the same job as the chief priest called a ‘doctor’. I taught Tsukuyomi see-through vision today, and Tsukuyomi is able to find illnesses inside the body through see-through vision. What do you think, how about having Tsukuyomi take a look?”
“We can have him find and treat it if there are any illnesses huh. Let’s have him take a look then”
“Is it alright? Dahlia-obaa-sama”
“Eeh, it is for the sake of my adorable grandson’s training, right? I’ll happily let you take a look”
“It’ll be my turn next”
“Carmia-obaa-sama as well, thank you”
“Well then, it is fine to remain seated on that sofa”
First, I examine from Dahlia-obaa-sama. I examined her in the same sequence as Ojii-san just now. Her internal organs are alright. Lastly, I examine her female genitalia, and it seems she’s having an inflammation.
“Dahlia-obaa-sama, have you been bleeding from the female genitalia recently?”
“Eh! How did you know?”
“I just, did an examination. I imagine it is senile colpitis. Since the symptoms are mild, I shall treat it now”
I held my hand over Obaa-san’s lower abdomen and sent my power. I treated the inflammation and gathered the platelets inside the blood to stop the bleeding. The treatment is also easy to perform since I’m able to do it while seeing how it’s going.
Aah, if I had this ability in my previous life……ahー, no good. I end up connecting it over there and thinking about it no matter what……I’ve gotta switch.
“Dahlia-obaa-sama. The treatment is finished. I was able to stop the bleeding right away since the symptoms were relatively mild. Today, please wash it well in the bath and keep it clean”
“Tsukuyomi, thank you very much. I never would’ve thought that it has turned into something like that”
“Tsukuyomi, you have my thanks as well. Thanks”
“Well then, I shall examine Carmia-obaa-sama as well”
“Eeh, please do”
I examined Carmia-obaa-san as well in the same way but found no problem.
“Carmia-obaa-sama is fine. There is nothing wrong anywhere”
“My, I’m glad. Thanks. I’ll go and make some tea now. Make yourself at home!”
Carmia-obaa-san goes and prepares tea for us. We sat on the living room sofa, relaxed, and started having a chat.
“Ojii-sama. Are Ojii-sama’s wives just two people?”
“Aah, there are 3 more. But they are not living here”
“Why, are you not together?”
“After the children become adults, they either reside here or reside together at the shrine where the daughter is. I let them choose which they want”
“That is something wonderful huh”
“Hoo, why does Tsukuyomi, think that is something wonderful?”
“I cannot be sure since I have never seen how the chief priest works in the shrine before, but from what I heard from everybody, when you are dispatched to the shrine as the chief priest, you heal people continuously, with pretty much no time to even leave the shrine”
“Umu, that’s right”
“The chief priest’s duty is revered, but depending on how you look at it, the life of the chief priest themselves is being sacrificed. I am sceptical about the current way the chief priest’s job exists. That is why I think the chief priest’s Okaa-sama staying close to their daughter and supporting them is a very good thing”
“Umu. That’s how Tsukuyomi thinks huh. It would be something painful if the person themselves were enduring it and doing the chief priest’s job. I suppose I wouldn’t know since I’ve never asked each of my daughter’s feelings”
“What does Tsukuyomi intend to do from here on out?”
“Yes. I think I want to go around the world, see the environment the chief priests are placed in, and ask about their thinking before I become the head of the family. And if the chief priest is being placed in a painful position, I would like to think with them what can be done for them to be able to be happy”
“Un. Thanks. I have high hopes for Tsukuyomi. Tell us if there’s anything that we can do”
Ojii-sama and company, all of them nodded with a big smile.
“Yes. Thank you. It is immensely reassuring”
