Chimera
At the Taboo Mansion, Asch created numerous chimeras. He captures monsters that attack him, synthesizes them with his magic techniques, and creates an entirely different species. Hence, most of the people who wandered into the vicinity of Asch’s mansion are reduced to bones and depart this world the following day.
The reason for most of it is Cerberus. An enormous Magic Beast with three wolf heads, a snake’s tail, and equipped with a pair of falcon’s wing. Asch’s magnum opus of a chimera designed with the myth as its motif.
He instructed Berzelius to bring it from the Taboo Mansion just now. This was Asch’s ace up his sleeves.
“……you bastard, to commit such depravity”
A single Aristo believer shouts with a pale expression.
“For you to use ‘depravity’ on this gentleman. Who knows how many patients plagued with intractable diseases were saved, by the magic medicine created through the fruits of my research. Hypocrites like you people, you only look at these darker sides and make your evaluation. It truly is wretched”
“What do you take life for!?”
“Kuku……it sure is unbelievable that that’s coming from you people who, just moments ago, were about to sacrifice Cis’ life”
There’s nobody who can win Asch in satire and sarcasm. He shows a triumphant smile and looks down on the Aristo believers gallantly.
“Kuu……”
“Now then, Cerberus. Do it! Let those saints experience how terrifying you ar――”
“Guoooooooooooooooooh!”
Before he finishes saying, Cerberus spits flame, ice mist, and lightning cluster at various places with its respective heads. Friends and foes alike……rather, in all directions.
“O, oi……Cerberus……what’s wrong? The enemies are those peop――”
“Guoooooooooooooooooh Guoooooooooooooooooh!”
A raging Cerberus. A rampaging Cerberus. A chimera that fiercely destroys the tables and chairs one after another by charging with those Magic Beast’s legs it is.
“……Berzelius. What about the Marionette Pills?”
A medicine to control the will of an animal as one please that Asch created it is. He had instructed Berzelius to feed it the Marionette Pills.
“……ehehe. Sorry. Looks like I gave it slightly too little”
While resting the back of his head on the valley of Cis’ breasts, the familiar grins embarrassedly.
“……now then, people. Due to a series of《《unfortunate events》》, this Saint・Lizabeth church will be destroyed today”
“Rather than unfortunate events, it is all your fault though”
Mira retorts indifferently.
“Now then, time to escape”
The Dark Magician elegantly dismisses her words and heads towards the Saint・Lizabeth Church’s entrance.
On the other hand, Lloyd had swiftly escaped, but Aristo believers, unbeknownst to the fact that it’s already out of Asch’s control, were desperately trying to stop the Magic Beast that’s single-mindedly tearing the facility down.
“That darn Dark Magician……doing this to the Aristo believers’ sacred ground……”
A single Aristo devotee mutters frustratedly.
“……everybody, the building will end up destroyed in its entirety at this rate. Let’s retreat”
Samon says calmly.
“No way! This church is the emotional support of Aristo believers……”
“A building……is a building at the end of the day. Now, there’s something that should be prioritised”
He understood that it’s, of course, a bitter decision for them who spent half their lives here. However, now they have to chase after and stop Asch and the others. It’s dangerous to give that Dark Magician time. He has to put an end to him, before he does anything further.
“……understood. No, for the Archbishop who cherishes this place more than anybody to say that to us”
“Sorry”
A few seconds after Asch and the others, Samon and the others also started escaping from the Saint・Lizabeth Church. However, they may have noticed if there’s somebody calmer amongst them. Or perhaps, wrap up this final battle here.
Asch and the others indeed escaped……however, there was one person who has stayed behind at this church.
Cis＝Klose it is.
Alone in Saint・Lizabeth Church, she was confronting Cerberus face to face.
“O, oi, Cis! What are you planning to do!?”
In between Cis’ breasts, Berzelius asks tremblingly.
“Bel-chan, you stay here. Since it’s dangerous”
Saying that, Cis places the familiar on the ground.
“Guoooooooooooooooooh! Guoooooooooooooooooh! Guoooooooooooooooooh!”
“Idiot, what are you saying! The Marionette Pill isn’t working on Cerberus! You’ll end up dying if you don’t quickly run away, right!?”
Ignoring Berzelius’ desperate cries, Cis approaches Cerberus.
“……please. Lend me your strength”
Cis stared straight into the Magic Beast’s eyes. It’s clearly in an agitated state and is not in a condition where it can lend its ears……its gaze is filled with killing intent. It’s unlike the animals that were in the Hogner Magic Academy’s forest. They’re eyes that clearly detests human, hates humans.
Bashii!
The snake’s tail seized Cis’ body and sent her flying several metres. She crashes into the wall like she was smashed into it and crouches over on the spot. A few of her bones cracks, and intense pain runs through her body.
“……guu”
“Cis! What are you doing? Let’s, run away already…..quickly……”
The familiar urges her, but his legs lock up in fear, and they won’t move. That’s how intense the Cerberus’ killing intent was. Cis, she slowly picks her body up and approaches Cerberus.
“……I’m sorry. I……I want to borrow your strength……for my sake. It’s selfish huh. It’s unsightly huh……but, it’s because I can’t do anything……”
“Guoooooooooooooooooh! Guoooooooooooooooooh!”
“Cis! You’re really gonna end up eaten!”
Berzelius shouts, but Cis doesn’t stop walking.
“Of course……I won’t say for free”
Cis calmly stuck her left arm out.
“Cis……”
“You can eat it. My one arm might not be enough so……you can eat me whole later. But……leave me with just my right arm for now. With this hand……I want to be of help. To those who put their lives on the line to help me……”
“Guoooooooooooooooooh!”
“I can’t put my life on the line, for the sake of the people around the world……but I, want to put my life on the line for the sake of those who love me. That’s why! Lend me your strength, Cerberus!”
One of Cerberus’ head, bit onto the left arm Cis stuck out.
