Originally, Zelve was a man like that of a clump of righteousness. Inflexible and loathes misdeeds. He never once laid his hands on the bribery and such rampant amongst the nobles either. Of course, he gets promoted slower than those around, but he was okay with it nevertheless. Just as long as he can live in a way that he’s unashamed of his own aesthetics.
The turning point in his life was, his encounter with Delta＝Laplace. The purest and most upright man in this Narsha Country, was deeply impressed by the proposed Surveillance(Monitoring Magic) and invested funds in it.
The effect of that was massive. To start things off, he exposed the wrongdoings within Castle Salreinkarlo. The thoroughly corrupted nobles were uprooted, and they went down the painful route of fleeing the country. In contrast, Zelve’s status rose rapidly. Making use of his high status, he expanded the scope of Surveillance(Monitoring Magic) further and carried out the purges on the regional nobles’ rampant wrongdoings.
With those achievements, his status rose further. Around Zelve, the number of people swarming to his status grew. Through rectifying those wrongdoings, he acquired everything. By pushing through with his belief. By exposing the wrongdoings of others.

“Li-, Lioar. The Joker Demon……you have to go and repel it right away”
Zelve shouts distraughtly.
“……”
“Wha-, what are you keeping quiet for! Do-, don’t tell me you’re going to say that you can’t work with your political opponents!? Now is not the time for that!”
“……kukuku”
Lioar, laughed condescendingly, from the bottom of his heart.
“Yo-, you bastard……enough!”
Zelve, moved passed Lioar and entered the throne room. Over there, King Jirver is seated with a serene expression.
“King! There is an issue I would like you to promptly make a decision on. The truth is……”
“Do, as Lioar says”
“Huh!?”
“It is useless. That doll is already, at my bidding”
From behind, Lioar walks over slowly.
“……you bastard. What did you do to the King?”
As he trembles, as he holds in his anger, Zelve glares at the white hair old man.
“You believed in your own strength too much. The moment you cut off Delta＝Laplace, your downfall was set in stone”
When he moves passed Zelve and stands before the throne, the King stands up with a peaceful expression and kneels down with his head hanging.
“Wha-……”
“I knew, that you have a personality that can’t forgive even the tiniest act of betrayal, you know. Was Delta, who was secretly moving in the shadows, unforgiveable? He’s a wary man, but as one would expect, his hands are full with taking on Asch＝Dahl, and it appears that he didn’t realise he himself was being monitored huh”
“……you’re the one”
Surveillance(Monitoring Magic), was set up in a way that it doesn’t activate on Delta, the creator, but Lioar secretly disabled that. Having seen through that Zelve, who can’t overlook even the tiniest act of betrayal, is suspicious of his secret activities.
Lioar, crushes the back of King’s head underfoot and grinds it.
“……because of this foolish King, countless capable students died, and this country stagnated for decades”
“Yo- you bastard! Cease your insolenc……”
Zelve grabs Lioar’s collar.
“Insolence?”
Before he finishes saying those words.
An electric shock runs through Zelve’s body.
“Guaaaaaaaah!”
He goes onto his knees at the same time as the intense pain, and rolls on the ground.

He, smiled with a serene expression, like always.
