Interlude: Confusion
Around that time, in Narsha Country’s main castle, Castle Salreinkarlo, a Senate meeting was being held.
“……can you say it one more time? Delta-kun”
The Senate’s Leader, Zelve＝Rolfan, directs a stern gaze at him.
“Yes. Board Chairman Lioar disappeared”
“He did……why”
“……”
From the Senate Leader’s look, he can tell that it is not done by the Senate.
“What does everybody else thinks?”
Zelve, seeks the opinion of the other Senate members. He observes them attentively since there was also someone who conducted an attack on the special class at their own discretion previously.
“I-, I don’t know about it!” “Is he plotting something……that Balance Ideologist?” “Wait, maybe his chronic disease worsened or something!?” “No way. Like hell that energetic old man will have any chronic disease”
It looks like they don’t know anything and are having a pointless discussion.
“……fuu. So? Is Rolard his successor?”
Zelve starts over and asks Delta.
Hogner Magic Academy’s Principal, Rolard, too, can be said to be a person with a superb disposition, but it is pretty iffy whether he is an individual who can break through this current situation.

“Then, what? Are you saying that despite knowing that he’s being targetted by us, Lioar disappearing, and he’s being watched by your Monitoring Magic(Surveillance), Asch＝Dahl is performing such bizarre acts?”

‘That’s right!’, the genius researcher wants to say horribly. However, before his eyes are the sponsors from whom he is squeezing an enormous amount of research funds. He, of course, can’t lay waste to it. However, he didn’t have an explanation that could convince them of the meaning behind that Dark Magician’s incomprehensible actions either.

Zelve, the Senate Leader, directs his sharp eyes at Delta.

An eruption of the Senate member’s flatteries. The Senate Leader who makes a not-unsatisfied expression, at that blatant ass-kissing.

‘I don’t care anymore’, Delta, he gives up.
“As I thought……in that case, we shall observe quietly for a bit here. Everybody, that is fine, right”

Unanimous decision. For Delta, an extraordinarily sad unanimous decision took place.

Leaving the room, the genius researcher clutches his head alone. It was unmistakably a situation that he had no choice but to report the truth. If he explained the situation different from the truth, it would undoubtedly set him up for failure afterwards.

“How was it? Did you explain that now that Board Chairman Lioar is not around, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity?”
