Magic
Magic. The magic that manipulates the five Elements, Fire・Water・Metal・Wood・Earth, is probably the most popular in general. However, there also exist many variations of magic apart from Elemental Magic.
For example, Summoning Magic forms a contract with an Angel, a Spirit, or a Demon, and establishes an employment relationship. The power of the existences that surpassed human knowledge is immense, and if one can skilfully manipulate it, they’ll be able to shower their enemies with a magic that’s stronger than Elemental Magic. Also, it’s possible for Dead Spirit Users(Necromancers), with abilities adept at Dark Element, to command tens of thousands of dead soldiers through controlling undead and zombies that originate from the souls of the deceased that had regrets as well.
However, there are very few individuals who can manage to master these kinds of magic. As for why, it’s because unlike Elemental Magic, they’re accompanied with enormous dangers. Additionally, one needs the mental strength strong enough to be able to resist the Demon’s temptation, and immense Magic Power to tame the deceased that creeps around the dark.
Magicians who are capable of such a feat, there only exists as many as you can count on one hand even on this continent. That’s right, such a scarce, competent, and overly marvellous Magician is――
“Asch-sama, my apologies for intruding on your self-introduction practice, but the details of the report came in”
Mira enters the room and greets her master, who hurriedly hides his teacher’s pointer.
“Se, self-introduction? What are you saying. I was just coincidentally having a rehearsal on the part where I explain the definition of 『Magic』. That valuable, capable, and marvellous Magician just so happens to be me”
The teacher’s pointer is sadly evident between his legs. Asch, who for having lived for 200 years, has never once waved a teacher’s pointer.
How should he teach……how should he be popular……how should he fully enjoy his school life……his head is jam-packed with such delusions. Excited he is. Excited, and thrilled he is.
On the other hand, the beautiful butler found such glaring ulterior motives of her master pathetic and held back on giving any more opinion.
“……my apologies”
“So, what are the details of the report?”
“Yes. Board Chairman Lioar contacted, saying that your first lesson had been decided”
“Is that so……at last huh”
Lioar=Sergey. Board Chairman of the prominent and prestigious Hogner Magic Academy of this continent he is. Their relationship is one in which they apprenticed under the same Shishou1 together, and this time, he accepted the invitation to be the special class’ advisor. As for the class, they’re second-year students, 15 years old. Selecting individuals who have talent as Magicians and conducting lessons.
“These are the student data of the special class”
“Hmm……good work”
Inside the documents that Mira handed over, the students’ appearances, personalities, and grades had been noted in detail. Asch, he stares at them like he’s looking at research documents.
“However, is it necessary to investigate it this detailed? If it is their competency, just their regular grades should be enough, right”
“Mira. What are you saying. Isn’t that what’s the most important. Will you decide on your《《Future Lover》》with the result slip?”
Asch completely ignores such criticism of hers and points his finger snappingly.
“……”
Mira glanced at the wine glass that was placed on the table. Confirming that the amount didn’t reduce at all, she thinks while setting the cheddar cheese on the table.
‘He’s actually sober huh’.
“……Asch-sama, your true motive is beyond my comprehension. Nonetheless, disgusting……I shall say just that”
In response to such a candid criticism of hers, Asch shrugs his shoulder going, ‘my my’.
“Fuu……as I thought, Mira is a doll. Alright, listen closely, taking into consideration my reflection last time, I once again confirmed the fact that, as I thought, the time is short”
“I think that there’s a heap of things that you ought to confirm more though”
“Well, listen. There are two things that I’m saying are short.『the time it takes until they fall in love with me』,『the time it takes to cultivate our love』”
“……as expected of Asch-sama. I, who is a doll, cannot begin to comprehend at all”
“Listen up. As expected, not even I intend to date a 15 years old girl. 18 years old is my absolute lowest limit. That’s why in these three years time, I shall have them understand me as a person better through the time we spend together. This is,『the time it takes until they fall in love with me』”
“……”
Asch seemed to have ascertained『not enough time』as the main cause he was dumped by women thus far. However, from the rule of thumb through the time Mira spent with him, Asch was obviously, not the type who gives the best first impression.
“And then, the『the time it takes to cultivate our love』also increases simultaneously. It takes 12 years until she turns 30 years old. If that’s the case, I’m certain she’ll accept my proposal as well”
“Asch-sama, there is not a day that I thought I am glad that I am a doll as much as now. If I were a human, I probably would have frozen to death from the overwhelming chills”
Mira’s capacity to think passes its judgement.
‘This fellow, he’s disgusting’.
On the other hand, Asch. He thinks of her honest words.
Mira’s dark humour is unforgiving today as well.
“Well, I took up the special lecturer for such a reason”
“……at this point, I hear that there are also places where even without going through so much trouble, men can have a limited relationship with women as long as they have money though?”
“Mira……those kinds of women are not my type. For the sake of that, I screen them. Not just with their appearances. I screen for someone who possesses a crystal clear heart”
Asch is an unpopular man. An unpopular man for about 200 years he is. The ideals such him have for women grew as he aged year by year. What such he desires is, to date a perfect woman. It’s to have a rose-coloured relationship with the perfect dame.
“……your heart is like the dead swamp where hellspawn resides though”
“I shall keep that in mind as an advice”
Asch, who gracefully ignores Mira’s horrifying sarcasm. And then, this undiscouraged mentality, and this unyielding heart, are the exact reasons he’s unpopular.
And then, the eternally unpopular Magician, who doesn’t notice that, leaned on the sofa while carrying the wine to his mouth.
