“”Thank you for the meal””
The first day of the ball games tournament ended. The result is us male soccer team advancing to tomorrow’s finals with Renya’s outstanding performance. Yae and the others’ female dodgeball team ended up losing to Class 3, so they didn’t manage to remain until tomorrow.
It is just that if I have to say the one thing that is unexpected, it would be that Yae is not in a bad mood even though she lost. I think she would normally be grumpy since she hates losing though.
“Well, it is a good thing that Yae is in a good mood. I won’t do it now, but I guess I will try asking her next time”

As I was sitting on the sofa about to watch the television since I finished the laundry and my bath, Yae came out from her own room.
“Hmm? What is the matter, Yae?”
“I’m thinking of drinking some tea. My conversation with Mutsumi finished as well after all”
“Is that so. By the way, what were you talking about?”
“Nn? We talked about today”
Ah, did this stir the hornet’s nest……but I guess I’ll go with it since it came up.
“Today was a close one huh”
“Nn. It’s a pity”
“By the way, is the ‘secret technique’ that volleyball strategy? I was honestly extremely surprised”
“Yeah. Mutsumi said she’s stronger at hitting it than throwing it, so we gave it a try”
I see, it’s true that Nishikida-san’s spikes were faster than the other girls’ throws. It’s just that if I have to say the weakness it has

That’s right, when they fought Class 3, the opponents ended up skilfully dodging it with that method. Nishikida then ended up being focused on and sent out. It was quite a one-sided development from then onwards.
That’s precisely why it’s odd that Yae is not in a bad mood. I guess let’s might as well ask her directly.
“I see. But in that case, why is Yae in a good mood now?”
“Nn? That is because”
Yae, who paused her words there, came closer over to this side……and lowered her hips on top of my lap. As I was surprised by Yae’s sudden action and froze
“It’s because Kazu-kun performed outstandingly in sports. It’s a waste for me to be in a bad mood on such a day”
Yae who said while she dropped her head backwards and looked up at me has a brilliant smile that anybody, even if it wasn’t me, could tell. I could not look straight at the eyes of such a Yae for some reason and ended up turning away.
“But I’m frustrated as well. That’s why you can do it to me like you always do, you know?”
Although such words of Yae were completed with a question mark, it was undoubtedly a request. I, who had no reason to refuse, circled my hands around Yae’s waist.
I could see neither the television screen nor Yae’s face with the eyes I closed because it felt embarrassing for some reason even though it is something I do all the time, but I was single-mindedly feeling the sole existence of Yae within my arms.
