“Yae?”
What I, who returned from the toilet, saw were figures of a man, who raises his voice and tries to forcefully bring Yae away, and Yae, who resists, so that she does not get brought away.
“……fuー”
This will not do. Calm down, me. I cannot stop walking, and neither can I stop thinking either. I will probably not be able to get Yae back from that guy if I stop thinking.
The other party is presumably a male in his 20s. His shoulders are broad, and his arms are thick as well, so he is probably quite strong. In other words, it is impossible to rescue Yae by force……in that case, I guess I will persuade him with words.
I verify the state of the surroundings. There are a lot of people looking, and there are surveillance cameras too. Furthermore, that silhouette that ran off is likely……then what I need to do is to buy time huh. I call out to the guy after fiddling with my smartphone for a bit.
“Err, excuse me”
“Aan!?”
The man, whom I called out to, stops walking, raises his eyes, and looks over here. He is quite menacing, but in comparison to when I was scolded by my father in the past, it is not at all scary.
Yae is making a worried-looking expression. Let’s make sure not to forget to smile as well to convey to her that it is alright.
“That girl, she is my company. So may I ask why are you trying to bring her away?”
“Ah? It’s obviously because she’s going to hang out with me1 from now on, isn’t it?”
Yae is shaking her head. I asked just in case, but it was to no avail huh. No, it worked out in terms of buying time though.
“It looks like she hates it, can I have you return Yae to me?”
“Haa!? You’re going with me, aren’t you!? Right!?”
“Kyaa”
The guy says and pulls Yae strongly, and Yae ends up tripping from the momentum of that……that scoundrel……I was mistaken to have even the slightest thought of ending this peacefully.
“Err, do you understand the current situation?”
“Aah!?”
“I said, ‘do you understand’. Listen up, alright? What you are doing is a straight-up crime, you know? Do you understand that much?”
“Wha, what are you on about!?”
“Did you know? There are lots of places where picking up girls is illegal. Even just slightly blocking where they are going is illegal, a misdemeanour. In comparison to that, I wonder how it will be for what you are currently doing”
“Wha, wha”
The guy starts to get noticeably flustered. One more push huh. I am definitely not going to go easy on him.
“At the very least, it is considered abduction the second you try to bring an underage girl away forcefully. No, it is considered ‘attempted’ since you did not manage to huh. It is nevertheless a crime though”
“No, I”
“It is easy to prove it as well. There are a lot of witnesses, and there is also a surveillance camera over there”
“Wha!?”
“Yae, now!”
I point at the surveillance camera behind the guy, and his attention turns over there. Yae takes that chance to brush away the guy’s hand that loosened its grip, and she escapes over here.
“Security guard-san, over there!”
“I got it! You over there, behave yourself!”
The security guards arrived right at that time. I don’t know whether I should say that their timing is great, or I should say that I wished they would come earlier if possible……
“Wha, security guards?!”
“They are going to come if you make such a big commotion. You reap what you sow”
“……if only you weren’t around!!”
“Kazu-kun!”
“Fugyaa……”
It hurts……I got careless. I did not notice it because I had my eyes in the direction of the security guards. I will have to reflect on it. Aah, there is the taste of blood. I guess my lips or something got cut. My spectacles ended up flying somewhere as well. It is not as though I cannot see, but it is an inconvenience.
The man had already been apprehended by the security guards when I got up……what I do after this is entirely my personal grudge. To engrave fear deep into him, to convey this anger even the slightest, I employ my father’s teachings.
“”Listen here, Kazunari. When you convey your feelings to another person, look into the other person’s eyes with only that in your mind. Your direct feelings will undoubtedly convey to them””
“Ahah. That adds assault……no, assault causing bodily harm as well huh. Feel free to regret it as much as possible afterwards”
I smile to conceal the pain. My gaze bore through the other party’s eyes. I will definitely not forgive what you did.
“Ah……ah……”
After the man trembled, he hanged his head, and he was taken away by the security guards. I guess this commotion is over with this.
“Kazu-kun, are you alright?”
“It hurts terribly. But, well, I am alright. Yae, are you hurt?”
“I’m alright. My clothes just got a little bit dirty. Also, here, your spectacles”
It appears that my spectacles are unharmed. As I am feeling happy that Yae was not hurt, there are two figures that head over here.
“Hey, Kazunari. Flashy huh”
“Are you alright, Oohata-kun?”
“Renya, please don’t make fun of me. Also, I am alright, Nishikida-san. Both of you as well, thank you for the various help”
Renya went to call the security guards for me, and Nishikida-san recorded it from start to finish on video for me. They are quite the life-saver.
“I’m sorry for interrupting”
“Security guard-san?”
“May I have you guys come along as well? I want to hear the flow of what happened this time from you guys”
“I understand. Err, this is the video I recorded slightly before Oohata-kun, this boy, stepped in to help”
“Ah, it is only a voice recording, but I also recorded the conversation after I stepped in to help. I am not sure how much of it caught though”
I fiddled with my smartphone before stepping in to help to start a voice recording. I never actually used it before, so I am worried whether or not I managed to record it though.
“Thanks. I will check them later. Well then, my apologies, please follow me”
Now then, we will end up going back slightly later, but let’s wrap everything up cleanly.

様(Sama), a suffix. Depending on how it is used, it can be rude or polite.
