“Is that so. Yae-chan can’t cook and stuff huh”
“Uh-huh. Not at all”
On the night of the volleyball training camp; Mutsumi and I are staying up late in the same room. Nevertheless, it’s just me being questioned one-sidedly though.
“So why have the two of you been living together since the past?”
“Kazu-kun’s Otou-san1 passed away when he was young”
“I heard about that from Oohata-kun previously”
“How about the fact that Kazu-kun’s Okaa-san2 is working overseas?”
“I know about that as well”
Kazu-kun told Mutsumi more than I thought. Are they close?
“Kazu-kun’s Okaa-san relocation overseas was decided immediately after his Otou-san passed away. But raising a child isn’t so easy that a woman can do it single-handedly at an unknown location, furthermore, overseas. Therefore, because our parents were close, my parents looked after him”
“I see. That’s how it is huh”
I remember what happened back then clearly even now. Perhaps neither of us could fall asleep, the shadows underneath our eyes were growing darker day by day. I saw that and thought it couldn’t carry on like this and had a discussion with my parents. And then what happened the night several days after they took Kazu-kun in as well――
“Hmm, is it fine for me to hear this?”
“It’s alright. Kazu-kun said it’s fine”
“If that’s the case then okay……”
“Leaving that aside, I have a question as well”
“About what?”
“Why won’t Mutsumi confess to Oohashi-kun?”
“Ue!?”
I wonder why she’s so surprised. Did she think that nobody realised. I think the two of them are the only ones who didn’t realise though.
“Wha, wha, wha”
“As far as I know, you’ve had a crush on him the whole time for about two years”
“Eh, you realised it since so long ago!?”
“Uh-huh”
What is she saying when they occasionally start creating a sugary space around themselves. Or rather, she often talks to me about Oohashi-kun with a smile. I’m surprised at the fact that she thought that it isn’t exposed even so.
“Is that so……”
“So, why?”
“I mean, I don’t know how Renya-kun feels after all……it feels like I won’t be able to get back up if I got rejected……”
What’s this adorable creature. I can tell that Mutusmi’s face is turning bright red even though the lights are out. She’s fiddling with her fingers; the gap from how she’s usually level-headed is amazing.
“It’s alright. I don’t think Mutsumi will be rejected”
“I wonder……?”
“Besides, Mutsumi has two of such magnificent melons”
“Kyaa!”
Hmm, it feels good to touch as usual. I don’t know whether I should call the size of these that can’t fit in my hands large or gigantic. I’m jealous……
“Geez, stop itー”
“It’s fine isn’t it, it’s fine isn’t itー”
“Geーez!”
She turned her back on me as I’m getting caught up in the moment and fondling them. I can continue if I hug her, but it feels like she’ll get angry at me, so I’ll stop.
“Good griefー. Leaving that aside, how about Yae-chan?”
“About what?”
“Do you like Oohata-kun?”
“I do like him?”
“Eh!?”
She got surprised again. I wonder why she’s so surprised? Isn’t it normal?
“Eh, but, I mean”
“I can’t live alone with somebody I hate”
“No, although that’s true”
“Mutsumi, you too like your Otou-san, right?”
“Yeah but……wait, could it be, you mean you like Oohata-kun as a family member?”
“Uh-huh”
I nodded, and she sighed at me. I don’t get it. Even though I answered properly.
“How about as a love interest?”
“……not particularly? I’ve never thought about it in that manner before either”
I see. Mutsumi was asking if I want to date Kazu-kun. But I’ve honestly never thought about it before until now. I mean, I always thought that it’s a given for us to be together.
“Is that soー”
“Uh-huh”
“In that case, your love int――”
“Hey! Quickly go to sleep!”
“Sorry!”
Ah, the teacher found us out. Let’s go to sleep since there are practices tomorrow.
“Goodnight”
“Hmm, I wanted to talk more, but I guess it can’t be helped. Goodnight”
