Next day, Renya had arrived earlier than me for a change when I went to school. It will sunny today according to the weather forecast, but I guess I should have brought an umbrella with me……
“Kazunari, morningー. I shouted because I was happy to receive your message yesterday and got scolded……”
Ah, he really shouted huh. Although my prediction was spot on, he is honestly too easy to read.
“Good morning. How rare, for you to arrive before me”
“I actually have a request……please help me out when I invite the Committee Chairperson!”
I wonder why Renya becomes hopeless only at times like this? He has no problem if it is just talking to Nishikida-san normally though. It is something that always happens, but to put it mildly
“You are good for nothing huh”
“Shut it! I end up nervous when I think what if I’m rejected”
“Alright, alright. I will help you”
I ended up accepting it instinctively, but I wonder if I should have refused here. It feels like a more or less drastic measure is necessary to get rid of the good-for-nothing Renya as well after all. I shall reject him when I have the chance next time.

A short while after the two of us waited for Nishikida-san, she finally came into the classroom. Renya has been writing the word ‘people’ and swallowing it¹ the whole time before my eyes though; will he be able to invite her in such a condition?

With Nishikida-san, who tilts her head curiously, in front of me, I lightly slap the back of the still stunned Renya who is beside me. Good grief, how long are you planning to be like that.
“Co, Committee Chairperson. Are you available on the 6th of May!?”
“Eh, un. I’m available……”
“Th, then would you like to go to the zoo together!?”
“Really!? I would love to!”

, I escaped from the reality of the situation before me where I am being treated as an outcast, but what should I do. Is this what they call a space for just two? It is very awkward since they are talking intimately between themselves. I want to escape one way or another but……hmm, come to think of it, have Renya and Yae talked before? Let’s go and ask her.
“Yae”
“Nn, what?”
“Er, have Yae talked to Renya before?”

Nishikida-san is blushing, but I can imagine what she was thinking about. Let’s find some time to let them be by themselves on that day.
“Here, Yae, you have to greet Renya too”
“……Nakamatsu Yae. I often hear about Oohashi-kun from Kazu-kun. Nice to meet you”
“O, ou. I’m Ooashi Renya. I often hear about Nakamatsu-san from Kazunari as wel……or not. Why didn’t you talk to me about her!”
“Why did you think I will talk to you about her instead? I had planned to hide my relationship with Yae, you know?”
“Uguu……”
Renya is looking frustrated for some reason though, why. Even though you would be the one who will be bewildered if I started talking about Yae like it is a given instead.
“Yae-chan really is living with Oohata-kun huh”
“Un”
“Which means, is the one who always made the honey lemon refreshments for us perhaps”
“Kazu-kun”
“Is that so. Oohata-kun, thank you for always”
“No, no, thank you for always looking after Yae. I will have her bring some during the training camp as well so please eat them with everybody”
“Training camp?”
“Then I want to go to Kazunari and Nakamatsu-san’s house on that day! Club activity on the 2nd is in the afternoon, and morning on the 3rd, so it’s like a one-night stayover”
“Our house?”
“Yup. I want to try eating the meals Kazunari prepare while they’re warm, and I’m simply curious what’s your room like! Also, there are various things for two guys to talk about and for me to ask about. Ah, of course, I won’t enter Nakamatsu-san’s room, I don’t mind you rejecting me if it’s no good”
Uーn, what should I do. I didn’t call anybody to our house until now because there is the matter with Yae, but it has already been exposed. Besides, Renya probably won’t try to enter her room if he says so. Renya is a person who does his best to keep his promises after all.
“I am fine with it. It is not particularly troubling after all. What do you think, Yae?”
“I’m also fine. Most of my private belongings are in my room after all”

My plans for the Golden Week that starts tomorrow increased variously. I only had something like a stayover with my friends on school trips and such after all, and I’m also looking forward to going to the zoo with Yae and the others.
