“Gahahaha! Not bad, woman! Entertain me more!”
Saying that, Gilgas punches over at me again. Furthermore, hasn’t his speed gotten faster than before? Why exactly?
I may have narrowly avoided it, but it was quite fast. Don’t tell me, it’s because he could no longer use the two arms I sliced off? Furthermore, even the amount of Magic Power gathering in his arms have gone up, more so than before.
Whenever Gilgas’ fists collide with the ground, the ground bursts open. I end up having to make huge dodges from those spots to not get implicated, but I’m gradually getting cornered.
“How about this!”
Gilgas launched clumps of Magic Power over at me consecutively. I barely managed to dodge them, but before I knew it, Gilgas was before my eyes
“Orah! Explosive Fist!”
and his fist swung down towards me. It’s bad if it carries on like this!? I jumped back from the spot, tumbling, and Gilgas’ fist struck the ground.
And in the next instant, there’s an explosion. The ground ended up bursting open, and I ended up being blown away by the force that’s stronger than it has ever been thus far. I was blown several meters away before I finally stopped.
That single strike just now, it seemed to have implicated friends and foes alike, and all around is the sight of soldiers collapsed likewise. Gilgas shows no concern for something like that and walks over here, crushing the soldiers underfoot.
Because of the recoil from being blown away, my body still can’t move. It’s bad if it carries on like this……was what I thought, but Gilgas was already before my eyes. And then
“This is the end!”
Gilgas swung his fist that’s packed with all his strength down. And then
Boing
, it ended up being blocked by something soft. Wha-, what’s this? A soft membrane-like thing is enveloping Gilgas’ fist and offsetting the momentum. The momentum was completely killed and stopped before my eyes.
Gilgas is also making a puzzled-looking expression and looking at his own hand. Immediately after, Magic Power flows through the membrane, and with it trying to return to its original shape in one go,
“Reflective Barrier Ultimate”
“Uoh!”
all the force in Gilgas’ fist, bounced back to Gilgas. As expected, even Gilgas couldn’t fully withstand his own attack and was blown away.
“Are you alright, Aerith?”
The one who called out to me around the time my body could finally move was, Caro who was supposed to be at the shrine.
“Caro, why are you here? Aren’t you supposed to be at the shrine?”
“I was protecting the shrine, but thanks to Gilgas implicating his comrades as well by himself, I became available. Aerith was in a pinch immediately after that, so I came to help”
Caro who puffs up her chest like she’s saying, ‘Fufu〜n‘. But, I was saved thanks to that. If it carried on as it is, I would’ve undoubtedly been done in.
“Who would’ve thought; to think that my attack bounced back. You’ve become stronger than before, haven’t you, Holy Maiden”
Gilgas stood up with a smile, even though his significantly powerful attack was reflected back. This fellow really is tough huh. I re-ready my sword and look at Gilgas. Over there,
“Aerith, you run straight ahead as it is”
, Caro said something ridiculous to me. Straight ahead, as it is? Like I can do something like that. Gilgas’ attack radius is dangerous enough the way it is. However, Caro
“Believe in me”
, says just that. Aah, geez! I got it already! I’ll curse you if I die because of this, Caro! I run straight ahead with my eyes on Gilgas.
Gilgas seems to be on guard as well, wondering if there’s some kind of a trap, but there’s nothing of that sort at all. I’m just running straight ahead, accumulating Magic Power in Kagerou. Perhaps Gilgas, too, realised that
“Orah!”
he punches over at me with his fist filled with strength. I carry on advancing as it is. Wha-, what are you going to do, Caro!?
“Sacred Ultimate!”
The moment I thought that, a membrane of light appeared before my eyes. This is Caro’s barrier? Furthermore, only the part where Gilgas’ fist approach. That membrane brilliantly defended against Gilgas’ fist.
Gilgas carries on throwing his punches over at me, but the barrier appears whenever he does and defends against them for me. That’s why Caro said to advance straight ahead huh. Alright, in this case
“Eat this, Flame Thrust!”
I gather Magic Power at the tip of Kagerou, advancing straight ahead amidst the downpour of rampant punches and appearing before Gilgas’ eyes. And then, with Kagerou, I thrust at Gilgas.
With nothing around to block the thrust, it penetrates Gilgas’ body like it’s being sucked in. And then, Kagerou stabs him. The moment Kagerou stabbed Gilgas, flame erupted from the blade part that stabbed him, burning Gilgas from within.
I guess Gilgas didn’t train his insides as one would expect, he screams in pain. He then started struggling with all his strength. Because I’ll end up getting implicated if I carry on being near him, I immediately pull Kagerou out and move away from that spot.
I leave a Magic behind at the part where Kagerou was lodged in at that time, and activate it the moment I moved a certain distance away.
“Explosion!”
In that instant, Gilgas’ body exploded. Flesh scattered, blood burnt, and an unpleasant smell is aloft, but I ignore such things for now. I still, feel Gilgas’ Magic Power. I tried burning the inside of his body to ashes, but he’s still alive huh.
“Gahah, hehe, not bad. In this case, it’s fine even if I get serious, right?”
Gilgas came out from the smoke that arose because of the shockwave of the explosion. Although he’s covered in wounds, he looks over at me with a smile. And then, his Magic Power wells up in one go.
“Let’s go! Clad my body, Giant Apparatus Of Black Arms(Hecatoncheires)!”
Gilgas activates his Magic. The same Magic when he attacked Arcadia previously. Four arms on each side, a total of eight arms appeared, each of those arms holding a tomahawk, with multiple arms flying behind Gilgas.
I also ready Kagerou and pour Magic Power into my companion.
“Flare. We’re gonna do it as well”
”Aye Anego1! Ready at any time!”
“Here we go! Burn it all down! Oodachi2 of Serpent Flame(Ja En No Oodachi)”
I clad Kagerou in flames and changed its shape.
“Leave the defence to me”
“Eeh, I’m counting on you”
I ready Kagerou which shape I changed and look at Gilgas. The real deal starts now!
- 姉御(Anego), Elder Sister. A way of addressing a slightly older female. ‘Lady Boss’ with a hint of delinquency.
