A Certain Dragon’s Day
“Hey, Eclat-chan, wake up! It’s morning〜!”
“……kyuu”
I’m shaken by somebody and open my eyes. The curtains are also opened, and the sunlight that comes in from there is glaring.
“You’re finally up huh. Geez, Eclat-chan is such a sleepyhead!”
I’m told something like that by the girl who came to wake me up, Mei, and reluctantly wakes up. My name is Eclat. I’m a member of the proud and revered Dragon Race, and a Dragon with the Lightning Dragon Ruler as my father, and the Light Dragon Ruler as my mother. And then, I’m also the fiancee of my beloved Lei.
I rub my sleepy eyes and look around the vicinity. I see, because Lei has been busy lately, I’ve been sleeping in Mei’s room. It sure is lonely since I’ve only shared greetings with Lei latelyy.
But, Lei had also said that things will calm down if I endure it for today, so let’s endure it. I wanna quickly get on top of Lei’s head. I mean, it’s the calmest over there.
“GAuU”
A black shadow leaps over onto the bed as I’m thinking about such things. Her name is Krondine. She’s the pet of this here Mei.
“GAuU GAGAU, GAUGAUGAU!”
(Eclat-neesan, good morning!)
“Kyui, Kyururuu”
(Kron, morning)
This is our daily routine every morning. Kron comes all the way to me and gives me a morning greeting. I respond to that. This child is my cute younger sister after all.
I ride on Kron’s back after that and go all the way to the dining hall. It appears that Lei can’t come because he’s busy, but it seems every one of his fiancees besides him has gathered. They’re my fellow fiancees comrades and rivals. Everybody is kind, so we’re all on good terms though.
“Ah, Eclat-chan, morning”
When we entered the dining hall, everybody was already seated and eating their breakfast. The one who came to greet me was, the newcomer even amongst us, Kana. Apparently, she’s Lei’s cousin in his previous life.
“Kyuru!”
I returned the greeting since I was greeted. It’s something I learned from Okaa-sama. That’s why I also raise my right paw and give my greetings. Kana, who saw that, patted me while going, ‘how adorable’. Ah, the way she pats might be slightly similar to Lei. I might get addicted to thiss.
“Hey, Kana too, stop with the patting and quickly eat. Eclat and Krondine too”
The one who says that and carries Kron and me up is Aerith. Geez, even though it was feeling good. Kron and I were both seated on our exclusive seats, and our breakfast was placed before our eyes.
Priscilla had been making it for us until just recently, but because the number of people has become a lot lately, it appears that they hired a cook. Although the cook’s dishes are also delicious, I also want to eat Priscilla’s dishes as welll.
When we finish eating our breakfast after that, everybody who’s not participating in the conference heads to the waiting room. I hear that we can’t leave since it’s heavily guarded outside. As we’re heading over with everybody
“Ah, Mei-chan, Haku-chan, good morning!
Filia runs over from the front. Mei and Haku also happily go towards Filia. Waah, Kron, don’t run all of a sudden. It’s dangerous, isn’t it.
“GAu”
Kron turns around and apologies to me. Well, I shall forgive you. Everybody enters the room together after that. I wonder what we shall do today? We can’t leave this room until the conference is over after all.
The ones in the room are the ones who can’t join in the conference; Aerith, Helen, Ferris, Priscilla, Chrona, Kana, along with Mari and Luciana. Mei and Haku, along with Roy. Filia and her escorts, Mirumi and company. And
“Ev-, everybody, go- go-, good morning!”
the youngster who entered the room energetically, the younger brother of the Caro who isn’t here currently, Clifford・Arcadia. He’s a golden-haired youngster. I personally don’t get it, but I’ve heard the maids talking about how he’ll become a handsome guy in the future.
“Ah, Clifford-sama, good morning”
Representing us, the same-aged Filia goes all the way in front of Clifford and gives her greetings. When Filia appeared before Clifford’s eyes, he started blushing and panicking.
Every one of Lei’s fiancees seems to have noticed something with just that, and they’re smirking. I wonder what is it.
“? Are you alright, Clifford-sama? Your face is bright red, you know?”
“I- I- I, I am alright! Yo- yo- yo-, you aree, beautiful today as well huh, Filia-sama!”
“Fufu, thank you, Clifford-sama. But, there is no need to use ‘sama‘ with someone like me, you know. Please call me Filia”
When Filia says that, Clifford bursts into a smile.
“I, I got it! I shall call you Filia from now on! I would like you to call me Clifford too!”
Clifford who says that happily. It sure is amusing to watch humans. Okaa-sama was talking about it previously, but although a human’s lifespan is considerably shorter than a Dragon’s, they’re a race that has fast transformations in its stead.
I hear they can even put up a good fight with an opponent they couldn’t win 100 years ago after 50 years, and go as far as to become capable of winning after 100 years. I won’t get tired of watching them every day.
After that, Filia’s escort guy, I forgot his name. I killed time by watching that guy try to lay his hands on Clifford and getting apprehended by Mirumi and the others, receiving sweets from everybody, and taking a nap.
Although I also love spending time relaxingly with Mei and everybody in this manner, as I thought, it’s boring without Lei. Even though I love the time I spend together with Lei.
And then because the conference finally ended after few hours, Lei’s fiancees left the room. I of course follow along as well. According to Helen, he has to send off the countries’ rulers, so she thinks he’ll be around if we go to the room with the thing called the Teleportation Circle.
When we entered that room, over there was, a woman hugging Lei.
“……as I thought huh”
“Looks like we’ve got to secure her huh”
Of course, there’s no way Lei’s fiancees will keep quiet about it, and the woman who was hugging Lei, Marin was it, they ended up bringing her and leaving the room. Along with the other fiancees as well.
My my, I’ll also……wait a minute, me. Isn’t this a chance? I look in Lei’s direction while flying in the air. Lei was looking at the door everybody went through dumbfoundedly. Nobody is around. This is……a monopolisation chance!
I get onto Lei’s head right away. Fuhee〜, as I thought, Lei’s head is calming. In any case, good work, Lei.
“Kyururu〜”
I tap Lei’s head, and Lei pats my head as well. Fuwaa〜, it feels good. Ehehe, Lei’s hand, it’s warm, and it feels good. As I’m relaxing in such a manner, Lei
“Shall we sleep together today?”
asked me. Isn’t something like that a given! I of course
“Kyurun!”
reply energetically. Lei smiles as well and leaves this room. Uhehe〜, I actually get to sleep while feeling Lei’s warmth for the first time in a long while. I sure am looking forward to itt〜.
After that, a crimson-faced Marin mixes in, and everybody eats dinner together, enters the bath, and bedtime comes.
It seems that the fiancees are, having a girls-only gathering or something, and everybody ended up going to the room that can fit everybody. Lei looked a little sad, but that girls-only gathering, it’s coming up with a strategy for assaulting Lei, right? I didn’t go since I don’t quite get it though. More importantly, let’s quickly get into bed!
“Kyuu Kyuu!”
“Haha, yeah. Let’s sleep early today, shall we”
Perhaps what I wanted to say got conveyed, Lei also gets onto the bed and burrows into the blanket. Using me in place of a hugging pillow is the way he sleeps when he sleeps with me. I also feel calm since I get to hear Lei’s heartbeat.
“Well then, good night, Eclat”
“Kyu〜ru〜”
Lei extinguished the light and ended up falling asleep right away. He must’ve been quite exhausted huh. I confirm that Lei is asleep and activates a certain Magic.
My body starts shining the moment I activate the Magic. That light then gradually becomes bigger, and when the light settles down, a young girl about 140 cm shows up from within.
Fufun! Of course, it’s me! It’s the Humanification Magic that I’ve been practising lately. It’s because I finally came to succeed at this Magic. I wanted to try using it beside Lei. I still, can’t use it for too long though.
It’s a still flat-chested body with silver hair, but they’re breasts that are planned to become as big as Okaa-sama in the future. It may be a slender body, but now I’m being hugged tightly by Lei. Fufu, Lei feels closer than usual.
I think back on what I was told by Okaa-sama. We have different lifespans from and Lei and the others, humans. That’s why, I’ll definitely have to care for Lei and the others on their deathbed. I was also told, ‘Do you have the resolve for that?’, by Otou-sama who’s always fooling around.
It’s true that it’s lonely to part ways with my beloved Lei. However, I think it’s even lonelier if I can’t be with the person I love even for a short period of time.
Besides, if I have children with the person I love, it’ll probably distract me from the loneliness as well. I want to quickly have children with Lei.
I look at the sleeping Lei’s face. The person I love who always protect me.
“Lei, I love you”
I move closer to Lei’s face, and lightly kiss Lei’s lips. It feels like Lei’s expression slightly relaxed and slipped into a smile. Fufu, today was a good day as well. I wonder what will happen tomorrow? I thought about something like that and fell asleep while feeling Lei’s warmth,
