Nurse
I pat the head of Haku, who’s sleeping soundly. It has already been several hours since my fight with Haku. It’s already the time of the day when the sun is rising, and there are people who are getting out of bed from now on as well.
After saving Haku, I bring her back into the house and take care of her. Aerith and the others told me that they’d take care of her as well, but this is simply my self-gratification. I can’t make everybody do it, so I had them go to sleep.
Priscilla was reluctant until the very end, but I forcefully returned her to her room. I suppose Priscilla probably heard those words of Haku. I suppose for Priscilla, who loves children, that was too painful.
As for the soldiers who came here, I told them that I would explain to the King on another day and politely had them return. All of the soldiers’ faces were tensed; I wonder why? That’s the only strange thing.
As I’m patting Haku’s head while thinking about such things, the door squeaks open slightly, and Mei-chan suddenly shows her face from there. However, Eclat enters the room without caring about that.
“……Onii-chan, morning”
“Aah, morning, Mei-chan. Eclat as well, morning”
“Kyuu”
Mei-chan greets me slightly apologetically, but when I reply to her with a smile, Mei-chan breaks into a lovely smile. And then she enters the room, making sure she doesn’t make any sound. Mei-chan sure is considerate huh. Eclat sits on my head, her fixed spot.
“How’s Haku-chan’s condition?”
“Although she still hasn’t woken up, she’s sleeping pleasantly”
“Thank goodness. I couldn’t quite sleep because I was worried. Priscilla-oneechan was also praying while looking at the moon the whole time”
“……I’m thankful for that, but I’ll be sad if Priscilla falls sick because of that. Mei-chan, can you relay to Priscilla that I said Haku is fine so go to sleep?”
“I got it!”
Mei-chan replies energetically and leaves the room. Eclat also goes along with her, and at the same time, as though they’re changing places, Aerith enters.
“Lei, morning”
“Aah, Aerith as well, morning. What’s the matter?”
“It’s not, ‘Aah, morning”. You didn’t sleep at all, right? How about sleeping for a bit? I’ll be watching her”
I’m thankful for what Aerith is saying, but I shake my head.
“I told Haku that I’d take care of her until she wakes up; so I have to be by her side until she’s up. Aerith too, you have school, right? Isn’t it almost time?”
“Judging from that, it looks like you won’t go today huh. Haa, I got it. I’ll talk to Shishou about it in advance, so talk to her about it in details again, alright. ……nn”
Saying that; Aerith puckers up her lips at me. I, despite smiling awkwardly
“Thanks, you’re a great help, Aerith”
say and give her a peck. Aerith leaves the room while smiling in satisfaction as well. I return to the bedside again after seeing Aerith off. While I’m slowly patting Haku’s head, I waited for her to wake up.

“Lei-san, how about lunch?”
I don’t know how many times it has been, but as I’m changing the towel that’s sitting on her forehead, Priscilla slowly enters. It looks like Mei-chan and Eclat went to play, and Roy went along with them as their bodyguard. I hope they don’t get lost though.
“Aah, I’ll eat it here. Priscilla as well, it’s fine to rest for today, you know. You didn’t sleep much, right?”
“If you’re going to say that, then Lei-san, you didn’t sleep at all, didn’t you. Besides, I’m also worried about Haku-chan……”
I smile awkwardly at Priscilla, who says that and ends up hanging her head. Good grief, this girl. I beckon such Priscilla. Priscilla approaches my side while tilting her head, but I grab her hand with a smile
“In that case, let’s spend today together, shall we”
“……! Yes!”
Priscilla replies happily and quickly leaves the room. I guess she probably went to get our lunch.
Afterwards, Priscilla carried my share of lunch and her share of lunch to the room, and we ate lunch together. It seems she has given money to Mei-chan and the others, so I guess they’ll buy it themselves.
After that, while I’m taking care of Haku, Priscilla and I talk about various things. About how Mei-chan gets along with various kinds of animals and tries to bring them back; about how Roy’s swordsmanship is improving so much that even an amateur can tell; about how she wants to send money to the Sister who’s in the Papal State, so she wants to go to work if there’s time.
In Mei-chan’s case, it’s probably because she understands the languages of the animals. Uーn, I guess I’ll give it some thought. I think if Mei-chan raises them properly, it’s okay even if she brings them back. ……it’ll be troubling if she brings several tens of them though.
I think Roy’s swordsmanship is really improving quickly. If he improves at this rate, I might not be able to win him with a sword either. If he becomes that competent, I’ll use Rolgar instead of a sword though.
In regard to going out to work, Priscilla wouldn’t give up on it. I was saying, ‘ I’m giving you money since you’re handling the things around the house for me, so how about sending that money over?’, but she said she wants to use that money for the sake of Mei-chan and the others.
“I am, really blissful. Spending every day with the person I love and doing the things that I like. Besides, if you indulge us too much, Alexia-san and the others might get angry at you, you know?”
That’s why she doesn’t need any more money than this, she says. It seems it’s also partially because she finishes the errands around the house in the morning and she’s free in the afternoon, so she wants to do something. If she’s going that far, then I won’t go any further to stop her either.
“But, just don’t push yourself too hard, alright?”
I, gently stroke Priscilla’s cheek while saying that. Priscilla also takes my hand and happily rubs her cheek on it.
As we’re taking care of Haku while talking about various things in that manner
“U, uun……”
“Haku!?”
“Haku-chan!?”
Haku moves her body and gradually opens her eyes. And then after she looks around at the ceiling blankly for a short while, perhaps she noticed us, she looks in our direction blankly this time around. And then
“……O, nii?”
I guess she could tell that it’s me. She calls me. Priscilla breaks into tears from overwhelming happiness. I hold Haku’s hand even as I’m smiling awkwardly at such Priscilla
“Aah, it’s me. Morning, Haku”
and reply to her. Perhaps Haku was also swept along by Priscilla; she broke into tears
“……mor, ning. Onii”
and replied to me. ……I’m glad she woke up without any problem. It looks like I was infected by Priscilla as well. I’m sweating from my eyes.

“……will you stop calling me Bocchama already, Sebastian. I’m almost 20. I’m not of the age of ‘Bocchama’ anymore, right”
“Hohoho. For me, Bocchama is Bocchama regardless of how old you become”
“Good grief. Clarie, are you alright?”
