What We Encountered Was……
Demon’s Land Entrance
“Eii!”
Before my eyes, Mirumi tears the Kobold to pieces with her sword. It is a dog-faced Kobold, but it is not adorable. Well, it bares its dogtooth and attacks us, so it is not cute at all though.
We have come to the Demon Land’s entrance under Marin-sensei’s guidance today. Those who have come are Marin-sensei, who is leading, and me; Mirumi, Dry-kun, Gumin-kun, and Chrona, who ended up participating together.
It has been 3 months since we were attacked by the Ogres previously. Right after that, Mirumi came trying to enlist, just as she had said, and Dry-kun and Gumin-kun followed behind her.
Otou-sama, who saw that, say that they can just train with me if that is the case, and all of us ended up training together after that.
However, because I ended up being grounded for roughly the first month, and also because Mirumi and the others are beginners, we had only been doing simple training within the mansion though.
Everybody was having Gilbert-san teach them swordsmanship, and I was having Marin-sensei teach me martial arts, and practising Magic next to them.
And then, after Gilbert-san judged that we are alright to a certain extent and my grounding ended, we ended up often training at the Demon Land’s entrance like this.
Going outside means that Chrona will follow me each and every time, but who would have thought, Chrona could also fight! It seems that she had been learning spearmanship from Otou-sama behind my back, and it seems the spearmanship that she uses with Body Reinforcement does not pale in comparison to the adult soldiers either. It was surprising when she skewered the Goblins without a second thought.
Well, she occasionally looks at the ring she received from Onii-sama and laughs, ‘Mufufu~’, though.
Even with such things happening as well, we are burying ourselves in our daily training
“Oraa!”
Ah, Dry-kun defeated the last Kobold huh. Everybody comes back while being vigilant of the surroundings.
“Filia-sama, it has finished!”
“Ye, yes, good job, Mirumi”
However, 1 thing that troubles me is this attitude of Mirumi. Ever since she decided to become my bodyguard, we ended up in a master-servant relationship and not the friend relationship like last time, and she does not talk to me normally. I told her to at least talk to me normally in private, but she does not fix it no matter how many times I told her so I am thinking of what I should do…….
And in contrast to Mirumi
“Filia, subjugation’s finished!”
there is also the Dry-kun who does not change at all though. Well, for me, I will end up laughing if that Dry-kun spoke to me like Mirumi though.
“What’s ne……guhee!”
Uwa……. The butt of a spear was jabbed at the stomach of Dry-kun, who was about to carry on talking. It was, of course, the spear-holding maid, Chrona, who did it.
“Dry. How many times do I have to say it for you to understand. Please speak to Filia-sama politely. I have had you study for the sake of that, and yet you address her without an honorific and speak to her casually every single time. Do you have a death wish?”
Chrona says, spins the spear and points the tip at Dry-kun. Mirumi looks at Dry-kun with a stern look beside her, and Gumin-kun and Marin-sensei smile bitterly.
Until now, Chrona has been strict on herself until now and even stricter on others, but she is very strict on these 3 people who became my bodyguards. It is a massive difference from when she is in front of Onii-sama. When I ask her the reason, she only replies that it is for my sake though.
Even amongst that, she is considerably strict when it comes to Dry-kun. It is to the point that I can say that she will definitely lay her hands on him. It is true that Dry-kun speaks to me casually and whatnot, but nevertheless, she moves her hands before her mouth.
I ask Chrona why and she says, ‘It is because Filia-sama chastity is in crisis’. There is no such thing at all though. I mean, Dry-kun hates me after all.
“Ouch. What are you doing, Chrona!”
“It is because you were speaking casually, is it not”
“It’s fine, isn’t it. It’s my relationship with Filia!”
Dry-kun who says and places his arm around my shoulder. …… As expected, this makes me angry as well. We might be getting along, but I am nevertheless a noble’s daughter as well as far as it goes. Touching a noble’s daughter familiarly is slightly…….
Killing intent starts pouring out from Chrona and Mirumi, who saw this, and Gumin-kun hastily tries to pacify them. When Marin-sensei was about to say something even while she is sighing
Zudoon!
there was a loud sound, and along with that, a cloud of dust whirled up in the forest. Our stormy atmosphere was also blown away, and all of us turn towards the direction of the sound.
“Wha, what is it!?”
Dry-kun, who had his arm around my shoulder, makes a surprised expression and places his hand on the sword on his waist as well. Everybody also takes their stances, making sure they can take out their weapons at any time, and Marin-sensei and I also make sure that we can cast Magic at any time.
“Fiーchan, everybody, you mustn’t leave from my back, alright”
Marin-sensei who says and proceeds at the head. We are also nervously following behind Marin-sensei. We walk for about 10 minutes. When we finally arrive at the location where the cloud of dust is rolling up because of the explosion, there was a crater slightly more than a metre in radius over there. And at the centre of that was
“……that is……a person!”
I instinctively shouted when I saw the collapsed person. It was a woman who had collapsed, a woman with breasts so huge that I can tell even with her lying facing down, and unlike Okaa-sama’s silver hair, her hair is silver with a slight tinge of darkness, and she has a rare skin colour of purple.
I cannot tell her expression because she has collapsed lying facing down, but what I am more worried about is her left arm! I mean, the front of her left arm is missing! Blood is dripping……
“Th, thi, this is terrible! I am going to help you now!”
That lady is covered in injuries; anybody can tell that she is seriously injured. So when I was about to go closer in order to treat her,
“Wait, Fiーchan!”
I was stopped by Marin-sensei. When I turn around with a ‘Why!?’ feeling, Marin-sensei is looking at the lady with a serious expression. It is to the point it is a little scary. I wonder what is the matter?
“Marin-sensei?”
Chrona and the others probably found it mysterious as well. I ask Marin-sensei.
“You guys, take a good look at that woman’s appearance and recall. You should have already learned it”
Marin-sensei who is saying that and ready to cast her Magic at any time. That lady’s appearance? As I am thinking about it, Mirumi shouts, ‘Ah!’, and tries to stand in front of me. I guess Mirumi got it as well.
“Mirumi, did you get it?”
“……if I am not mistaken, Filia-sama, you must not get close!”
“Bu, but, she is so wounded!”
I wonder why Mirumi is also saying something like that? Even though I have to treat her quickly!
“I do not understand what is the matter, but I am treating her! Mirumi, step aside!”
I shout at Mirumi while releasing Magic Power. Mirumi twitched and moved aside bit by bit while making a frightened expression. I feel terribly apologetic because Mirumi is thinking for my sake, but now, for the time being, the treatment comes first!
Marin-sensei is shouting something behind, but I run towards the collapsed lady’s side and activate my Magic.
“Here I go! High Healing!”
Blue Magic Power comes out from my hand and covers the lady. Albeit slowly, the lady’s wounds are healing. However, I am just unable to return the arm that has been cut to how it was originally. There is no arm after all. I only block up the wound.
“U, uu……”
Ah! It seems the lady noticed it a few minutes after I started the treatment.
“Are, are you alright!?”
When I called out to the lady, she rapidly turned to my direction, and then
“Guuu!”
she grasped my neck with her remaining right hand. It, it hurts……. Marin-sensei and the others are yelling at the lady, but she only looks at me without paying any attention to it.
“It, it is, alr, alright, o, okay?”
I smile at the lady while bearing with the pain. Her being injured probably means that she was attacked by somebody, or otherwise, some monsters. It is inevitable that she becomes so over-sensitive. I smile, in order to somehow get her to lose the hostility.
Immediately after, perhaps the lady also thought that it is fine, she releases her han……ah, she collapsed! Is, is she alright?! I hurriedly check and……phew, she had only lost her consciousness. I am glad. My throat is slightly painful, but it will probably be fine with this.
“Marin-sensei, I am don「Pachin!」 eh?”
I was astounded by what suddenly happened. I mean, there was an impact on my left cheek when I was about to head in Marin-sensei and Chrona and the others’ direction. And then, my cheek becomes hot after a short while. I timidly raise my face and, Marin-sensei, who makes a furious look that I have never seen before until now, was standing there.
