Elise Imperial Princess may be able to use magic and is powerful, but be that as it may, there’s this number of people, and furthermore, there’s the white-haired man who’s certainly stronger than Elise Imperial Princess. Although they’re saying that they’ll capture Elise Imperial Princess, who knows the means they’ll resort to for the sake of that and what they’ll do to her after they captured her.
Perhaps Shertia has also realised that fact, she grabbed Elise Imperial Princess’s sleeve with no signs of letting go. There wasn’t the option of leaving her behind and going off here and now inside of me.
I take out a Magic Crystal from my breast pocket and throw it towards the men. Simultaneously, at the wall on the opposite side as well. The moment those Magic Crystals struck against the ground and wall, ‘Doon!’, they exploded.
Although it’s unable to defeat the men, it managed to make them falter, and a hole opened in the wall. I then make both of them proceed to the other side of that hole, and I take out another Magic Crystal. I’m not very, proficient at hand to hand combat though!
The magic that’d been contained in the Magic Crystal is Body Enhancement. With this, I should be able to move more or less.
“Don’t think you can stop me with something like this!”
As I thought, the first one who came out from the explosion, was the man who was being called Byaku by Elise Imperial Princess. The man clads himself in Magic Power and punches at me.
I stand in front of the hole and catch Byaku’s fist. Kuu, if it were back when I was alive, I certainly wouldn’t be able to withstand it fully. It’s because now I’ve become a Wraith and my abilities have elevated that I can withstand it.
When Byaku brings his fist back, he immediately releases a roundhouse kick over with his right leg. When I crouch and dodge it, he swings his right leg down at me without a moment’s delay. Shit, when his leg slams into the ground, he uses that leg as a pivot and a roundhouse kick with his left leg closes in once again. I cross my arms and block it but, guu!
“Chrono-san!”
I, who’s unable to withstand it fully and was blown away, was blown all the way underneath the pair. Shertia worries and approaches, but Byaku was already closing in on me.
Although Elise Imperial Princess casts magic and keeps Byaku in check for me, it’s ineffective against the fist of the strengthened Byaku. But, I was able to stand up with that little time, and I was able to take out a Magic Crystal.
The effect of the Magic Crystal I took out is a barrier. I slam it onto the ground like just now and put up a barrier. Although it’ll be smashed in 1 hit by Byaku, it can buy a tiny bit of time. While I can, I, who carry Shertia and Elise Imperial Princess

I somehow clench my teeth, bear with the pain, and use a Magic Crystal on the two of them. A lump of air materialised between them and the ground so that the two of them don’t crash into the ground, and the two of them bounced.
Because I didn’t have the leisure to use my share, I fall to the ground as it is. I would’ve been dead if I wasn’t a Wraith.

Byaku had already descended and was beside me when the two of them was about to come towards where I am. And then an impact that comes to my abdomen. As though responding to my feelings, I absorb the vitalities from the living things around with Drain. Those vitalities become my Magic Power and strength, and course around my body.
I’d been fighting as a Magic Tool Specialist until now, but from here on out, I’ll fight as a monster. The grasses at my feet lose their vitalities, and centring around me, they wither.
I change those energies that I absorbed into magic and release it at Byaku. I’d become proficient in Dark Magic ever since I resurrected as this Wraith. I release one of the Dark Magic, Shadow Ball, at Byaku.
Byaku releases Shertia and strikes Shadow Ball down with both hands, but in the meantime, I get close and grab Byaku’s arm. I absorb Byaku’s vitality.
Byaku, perhaps also felt that it’s dangerous to carry on making contact, tries to keep us apart somehow, but he can’t quite swing off my strength, that’s absorbing his vitality and strengthening. Since Byaku is weakening as I’m strengthening.

And then, we were being surrounded once again when I realised. I wonder if there’s some way I can let even just the two of them escape? I stand in a way that I’m somehow shielding the two of them, but Byaku along with the men are slowly approaching.
The moment Byaku was about to close in on us in one go, ‘Hyunn!’, a single arrow fell between Byaku and us. After that, a man, who wore a mask and full body armour, stand between us. Wh, who?
“If it isn’t Cel! You guys also came back huh!”
“My apologies for the delay, Elise-sama. However, to think that, it’s turning into something like this……”
The man called Cel, who readies his sword and stands in a way that he’s protecting us. And then the arrows that rain even more. The men slowly distance themselves from us.
“Elise-sama! Over here!”
Such a voice of a woman was audible when we’re wavering on what we should do. It appears that Elise Imperial Princess knows the owner of that voice; she holds Shertia’s hand and starts running.

I was urged to come as well by the man called Cel. I guess there’s no choice but to rely on them here huh. I activate a barrier that I poured every ounce of Magic Power that I have in. With this, it should hold for a bit.
Although Shertia’s elder brother, Shelcieg, is shouting something, I ignore it as it is, and chase after Elise Imperial Princess and Shertia.
Although there’s help out of nowhere, thanks to that, we managed to escape from the Imperial City somehow.
