Army Of The Country Of Demise
“……wake up, Hardt!”
“Waaah!!? Wha-, what!?”
A young girl’s voice that’s suddenly shouted right by my ear. I, who was spending my time in dreamland, was surprised by that loud voice and ended up jumping up. When I looked around flusteredly, the sight of an angry Stella with both hands on her waist was there.
“Mor-, morning, Stella. What’s the matter first thing in the morning?”
“It’s not ‘what’s the matter’ right! Didn’t we promise to go flower-picking at the nearby forest today! And yet you’re sleeping soundly!”
The angry Stella who moves her face closer to me aggressively. Tha-, that’s right, I did make such a promise huh. I ended up oversleeping completely.
I was thinking that I’ve got to wake up in the morning by myself since Okaa-san isn’t around because of work today yesterday night though……I messed up.
“Sor-, sorry, Stella. Although I knew that I had to wake up……sorry”
“……geezz. Quickly get up if you got it. We’re going now!”
Stella said just that and stomped out from the room. I hurriedly get ready to leave the house. Since if I do it too slowly, Stella is going to march on in again.
I quickly change my clothes and leave the house. Stella and Lig were waiting in front of the house. I wash my face with the bucket of water outside the house while apologising.
“Good grief, you’re really not a morning person, Hardt”
Lig who looks at such me and smiles awkwardly. Hahaa, there’s nothing I can say. After that, I hastily eat the breakfast Okaa-san made and left for me, and the three of us leave the village. Although there’s the possibility of monsters appearing in the nearby forest, it’s fine even for the children to go by themselves because the village is nearby.
We, who arrived at the forest, walk around searching for the flowers Stella fancies. Stella, who searches for the flowers joyously, along with Lig, who watches that with a smile. The peaceful time continues.
……however, I was surrounded by villagers before I knew it. Villagers who stab me all over my body with a knife no matter how much I scream. Stella and Lig too. And then, Okaa-san who’s killed before my eyes.
I stretch my hand out towards Okaa-san while screaming. The world simultaneously collapses. My outstretched hand couldn’t reach Okaa-san, and I fell into darkness…….

……the figure of Mylene grabbing my outstretched hand was there before my eyes. ……that’s right, I had had Mylene go and call everybody since my revenge had reached a checkpoint, and I ended up falling asleep during that time.
After Mylene saw me waking up and felt relieved, she embraced my face tightly with a pained look.
“Hardt-sama, I will be by Hardt-sama’s side no matter what happens!”
I ended up having a weird dream because I ended up letting my guard down after my revenge reached a checkpoint. I was probably having a nightmare because of that. It looks like I ended up worrying Mylene.
“Sorry, Mylene. For worrying you. I just had a slightly unpleasant dream”
A dream of the past that I have no need for anymore. Mylene, who moves away from me when I direct a smile to her. I stand up from the throne that I was sitting in as well……eh, ow ow ow ow! My body hurts because I was sleeping on the hard throne. There are cracking sounds when I stretch my body.
“Are you alright, Hardt-sama?”
“Un, I’m alright. It just hurt here and there because I was sleeping on a hard chair for a bit. Leaving that aside, have you gathered them for me?”
“Yes, everybody is awaiting”
“Let them in then”
I order Mylene, and the subordinates gather in the throne room one after another.

All of my subordinates gathered in this throne room for me. And then Mylene, who stands diagonally in front on my left, along with Lo, who lays down on my right side. When it comes to Bergius, since it can’t fit in the throne room, I’m having it stay in the garden that’s connected to the throne room.
“Thanks for gathering, everybody. I had you gather here because I declared war on the Holy Kingdom as the Country of Demise, Pandemonium. I suppose it’s not like the war will begin right away, but I wanted to create an army as a country towards that beforehand.
First, the army with the largest number, the Dead Spirit Army. I’ll entrust the command of this to you, Nero, the No Life King”
““Hah, affirmative“”
Their numbers are close to 400 thousand. They gathered quite a bit in comparison to the past huh.
“Next is Liscia, I’ll have you command the Dullahan Squad”
“Aah, leave it to me!”
Liscia puffs out her chest and declares confidently. The Dullahans’ numbers are close to 3000. Their numbers are few compared to the Dead Spirit Army, but their strength individually is different.
“I’ll have Elise participate as the Empire. Fia and Elysineze, I’ll count on you guys to be her aides. It’s just that, Elise, even though they’re aides, you guys are equal, alright?
“I of course understand, Hardt-sama”
Although the Empire is still in the middle of rebuilding, thanks to the Death Angel I’ve entrusted it to, it has made the countries in the vicinity into vassal states. If we include these, the difference in military force with the Holy Kingdom will probably pretty much be gone.
“And then, the new soldiers that were made through Chrono and Hepienel’s collaboration, Magic Mechanical Soldiers(Ex Machina). Necrofia, you’ll lead them. I think you have no knowledge as a soldier, so I’ll appoint aides to you that do”

Without saying anything, Necrofia grabs her skirt and bows. The Magic Mechanical Soldiers are Magic Tools that Chrono and Hepienel created for fun, so they have functions that can’t be affixed onto ordinary dead spirits. About 500 of them were created at a high pace.
Although we don’t know how usable they are since they haven’t been used practically, they should be useful.
“I’ll pass the Doppelganger over to Zero, so I’m counting on you on the reconnaissance, assassinations, and so forth. I guess the army will be something like this for now. Mylene will be my aide as always, and I also want Beatrice to help me with your Demon Lord knowledge. The Ursa Major Celestial Maidens will obey Mylene’s orders”
I suppose it’s more or less something like this. The preparations are done for the time being with this. All that’s left is how the Holy Kingdom make their move, and what to do with the neighbouring countries.
