“Three Skeleton Knights and two Archers!”
Along with Regan’s voice, the Skeleton Knights swing their swords down. Regan swings upwards at the swords that were swung downwards, deflect them, strike their bodies, and send them flying.
They tried to thrust their swords from the left and right, but a barrier formed, surrounding Regan, and repelled the Skeleton Knights’ swords. It looks like Legins’ Light Magic blocked them.
While Regan is pulling the Skeleton Knights, Eira casts Wind Magic’s Magic Bullet and keeps the Skeleton Archer on one side in check, and Sylphe shoots arrows and keeps the Skeleton Archer on the other side in check.
I head towards a Skeleton Knight that’s about to slash at Regan as well. The Skeleton Knight notices me approaching, changes its target and swings its swords down at me, but I strike and repel the side of the sword with the gauntlets that I’m wearing in exchange for not holding a shield, and swing my sword upwards diagonally from the right.
The Skeleton Knight got slashed and stepped backwards, but it’s still alive. I continue to press on and activate my Occupation Skill. Occupation Skill・Thrust. It’s a simple stab, but its speed and penetration strength is higher than an ordinary stab.
I aim and thrust at the Skeleton Knight’s right shoulder. My sword penetrates the Skeleton Knight’s right shoulder before it swings its sword down.
The Skeleton Knight’s right shoulder shatters and it drops its sword. However, perhaps because the Skeleton Knight doesn’t feel pain, it carried on to extend its hand towards me in an attempt to grab me.
I repel its right arm, that extends towards me in an attempt to grab me, with the handle of my sword, and swing my sword towards its right leg. I took aim and held my sword overhead at the neck of the Skeleton Knight, that had its right leg was chopped off and went off balance.
The Skeleton Knight, that was sliced on its spine and had its head and torso separated, finally stopped moving. I carry on as it is, and start running towards the Skeleton Archer. In the meantime, Regan defeated one Skeleton Knight and went up against the third one, going up against his second, and Eira and Sylphe defeated one Skeleton Archer.
The Skeleton Archer shoots an arrow at me, who’s approaching, but it’s slower than Sylphe arrow. I easily repelled it and lobbed off the Skeleton Archer’s head.
It looks like Regan also defeated the Skeleton Knight right at the same time, so while being wary of the surroundings, the atmosphere slightly relaxed.
“As expected, it’s exactly as we’d heard, they attack in groups when it reaches the third floor huh. It’s still within expectation though”
“Yeah. I personally prefer an opponent that’s a little bit easier to land an arrow on thoughー”
It’s because it has been an hour since we came to this third floor, but only groups of skeletons appeared. It’s difficult for Sylphe arrow to land if she’s going up against skeletons that are just bones. It probably uses more concentration than usual.
“Fuu”
“Are you alright, Regan?”
“Uh-huh, I am alright. I have no wounds either after all”
We’ve still not suffered injuries from the opponents on this floor that are to the extent that we have to retreat. It’s an unexpectedly easy dungeon. It has been a week since we came here, but we’ve been making a profit every day.
“The time is almost evening huh. Let’s leave it at this and go back for today, shall we? I want to quickly get to drinking”
Saying that, Legins makes a drinking pose. Good grief, this fellow. However, Legins’ sense of time is, unfortunately, accurate. Because it’s generally around evening if he feels like drinking.
Everybody, while sighing at such Legins, because it’s the usual thing, prepares to return to the surface. It’s our policy to not overextend to clear the dungeon.
“Now then, let’s return to the surface……nn?”
As I was about to call out to everybody, a person appeared from the shadows of the rocks. We, who saw that, instantly become wary. It’s because that person is obviously not a living being.
I can’t tell its expression because its face is facing downwards, but it has a body covered with wounds along with battered clothes. Anybody will be wary if they see that fellow that gives the impression that it’s obviously dead.
“……is it, a zombie? However, even so, the atmosphere is”
The moment I was about to say that its atmosphere is different from an ordinary zombie, the body of the monster that appeared starts mutating. Just when I thought that it suddenly shook, its entire body proceeds to dye crimson.
“uu! This is bad! That fellow, it’s no common zombie! It’s the Higher Species of a zombie, the Crimson Ripper!”
Along with Sheria’s voice, the zombie that raised its face, the Crimson Ripper, started running towards us. Its speed is on par with humans.
Regan, who readied his axe, stepped forward and blocked the Crimson Ripper’s hand, that extended over in an attempt to slice us into pieces, with his axe.
“Humph!”
It looks like Regan has an edge in terms of strength, he pushes back with his strength and swings his axe horizontally. The Crimson Ripper jumped backwards and dodged, but over there, Sheria shot several arrows.
The Crimson Ripper received every arrow without dodging except for the arrows went for its head and blocked the arrows that went for its head with the shield on its left arm. It blocks my sword with its claw when I slash at it over there. Tsk, its claw sure is tough, this fellow!

Sheria, Sylphe and Legins respectively cast their Magic and shoot her arrows at where the Crimson Ripper dodged, but those were dodged as well.
The Crimson Ripper distances itself from us. As I’m thinking about how to bring the fellow down
“Why is a Crimson Ripper at a place like this!?”
, perhaps from the lower floors, another Adventurer party showed up. The Crimson Ripper, that saw that, made full use of its agility and disappeared before us.
When we ask the other Adventurers, it seems the Crimson Ripper is a monster that appears on a slightly lower floor, and it shouldn’t appear on this floor originally. For us, we won’t lose if it’s just one, but it’s probably an opponent we’ll have trouble with.
Those Adventures will be talking to the guild about this matter right away, so it’s decided that we’ll be brought along as well. It’d be great if it’s nothing though.
